Here at Tartan Farms we take pride in the cattle that we put on the market. Our Irish Dexter's are DNA tested on a regular basis to measure residual feed intake, average daily gain and most important tenderness and marbling of our animals. Because of this testing process we can ensure that our Irish Dexter cattle are some of the best in Texas. We currently have TX beef quality assurance certificate.
High Quality Dexter Herd
Our herd has been raised without implants and we do not use medicated feed. We spoil our cattle with Coastal bermuda horse hay! All of our current calves are ADCA (American Dexter Cattle Assn.) G5. parentage guaranteed. Our Herd is moderate size and conform to the Dexter standard with regard to conformation good for small acreage.
